Genn Greymane

I was wondered how many people that hate Genn Greymane actually know him. I am not saying this to change anyone's mind. He is at times kind of an ass.
My people have suffered so long, if only I could shoulder more of their burden.

Gilneas was part of the Alliance for a bit they helped with some of the horde. But after that war Lordaeron didn't like the idea some others had for killing the Orc prisoners. Instead they decided to keep them as prisoners.

Genn's father always taught him not to take help. To be independent. Genn was upset because they were all already spending so much money on rebuilding Storm Wind and didn't like the idea of shelling out coin to keep what he saw were invaders. Eventually he decide to leave the Alliance and hid trump style behind a wall.

Eventually scrouge came to overwhelm his city and so he turned to something forbidden to aid him. The Worgen he ised destroyed the scourge, but when they didn't have readily available enemy they turned on the Gilneans. Those bitten turned into monsters and were hunted by their own people. Soon Genn himself was bitten, but instead of revealing this he hid it from his people, knowing what they would do.

Eventually (sometime around the Cataclysm) Gilneas was overrun with Worgen and many of the people were bitten trying to save then flee the city. They used some alchemy to start saving their people but it was around this time the Forsaken decided to continue their attack. The Gilneans were pushed inland and were aided by the Nelfs who helped them finally control the beast.(Plus Genn got his buddy Crowley back).

After dealing with a suicidal traitor they go to take back Gilneas. Liam, Genn's son, get;s his Braveheart on and they attack. They win the battle, but it came at the cost of Genn's only son. Silvanas killed him with an arrow. So butthurt at her loss ol' deadelf herself decided to drop the plague into Gilneas. Something to note not even crazy Garrosh wanted this to happen.
Genn decides his people's lives are more important than revenge and so he buries his son and takes his people from their home. The trip nearly cost the lives of his wife and daughter and almost killed the old wolf himself. He had to save them from a sinking ship.
Soon after he rejoined the Alliance and served under King Varian. He helped the Human manage his rage. The two became close. When the Legion once again invades Azeroth Genn is asked to put his trust in the Horde.

The Horde had taken everything from him, but he followed his king. He was told to ask his mortal enemy for aid and as he is going to give this request he hears the horns of retreat. (Now I am not condemning completely, they were overrun, but look at it from his point of view)
He has to watch his king sacrifice himself and is tasked with bringing his final words to Varian's son. There is a rage in him now. He will see the end of the Banshee queen. He finds a log detailing plans for Silv to steal the power of a val'kyr.

A battle it is thought Silvanas's troops have kill Genn. She goes forward with her plan. She wants to make more Vs to keep her and her people alive. But Genn is not dead.
He ambushes her as she nears victory. Genn goes all Batman on her and pimpslaps her a bit. But the ol' gal is not a push over and they fight. She gets a shot in, but he undoes her plan and delivers this line. "You took my son's future and now...I have taken yours!"
He is later seen being a teacher to Anduin the peaceful king and leading him to war. Is this right? Probably not. But in the end Genn can not see past what the Horde and Silvanas has done.
